Although it sounds simple, the secret to confidence is feeling great about yourself and having beautiful hair and a healthy scalp. When you look great you feel good.

Your look should coincide with the job you are looking to obtain. For instance, jobs in the financial industry usually require a more serious and conservative look.

Keeping Up Dyed Locks

It may sound cliché, but the truth is that you only have one opportunity to make a great first impression on your future employer. It’s important to look nice and neat because many times employers associate your appearance with your aptitude to perform the job. For instance, if you look messy they may perceive you to be disorganized in your work. That is why if you dye your hair it is important not to go to an interview with roots showing. The truth is that you have to look like you’re in control.

Long Locks

Long hair should be neatly brushed without frizz and without hair clips in order to look clean and simple. You want to look professional. If your hair is long and curly and you love to show off your waves make sure to keep it neat and away from your face. Short & Messy: This style provides a modern look that is easy to create. To create an “I just got out of bed” look, stir the hair up with a bit of gel. Remember to remind the boys not to use too much styling product because just like female hair do’s, male styles should look natural with movement this spring/summer.

Slicked Back: This look is classic and one that has been used in Hollywood for decades by characters such as James Bond.  To begin determine if you have wavy hair or straight hair, the rest is easy. Men with straight hair should leave the top of the hair longer and those with wavy hair should cut the hair shorter. The sides should be short for both hair types.

Medium & Long Hair

The Hump: If you have long hair, whether it’s straight or curly, creating a hump (or bump) in the center of your hair creates volume. Begin by combing all of your hair back and center the mid-section of the hair and twist into place. You can create volume by teasing the hair with a comb, beginning at the root and working your way back.

Side Ponytail: Another great option for this season is to create a side swiped ponytail. Comb your hair towards one side and secure the hair in place with a clip or hair band, you can also use bobby pins. Remember spring is about looking natural so you don’t want to pull the ponytail too tight. Long hair should be full of natural movement this season.

Classic French Twist: The French twist is a classic hairdo that always creates an effortlessly chic look. Start by creating a half up ponytail and leaving the length of the hair down. You can leave the length either straight or create soft waves. Once again I want to remind you not to pull too tightly and do not put too much hairspray in order to maintain a natural look.

Short Hair

Classic Hollywood Glamour: This season old Hollywood Glamour returns with the classic bob cut. Many celebrities currently have this cut. I love this look because it is very sexy and doesn’t require much effort. This do doesn’t require too much volume, only a bit at the front of the crown.

For All Lengths:

Trends come and go but classic hairdos stand the test of time because they are easy to create and they look good at any length.

Up dos: Tight or loose hair buns at the nape of the neck and traditional ponytails are perfect for creating a romantic look and they also help to keep us cool.
