Tips that Will Help you Triumph at Your Next Interview
Hi friends, we recently spoke about the difficult economic situation that many of us are facing and as a result we are looking for new jobs. I am more than confident that you have the knowledge and skills to obtain the job you are seeking and that is why I would like to offer you some beauty tips and tricks that will give you the confidence you need to shine at your next interview.
Although it sounds simple, the secret to confidence is feeling great about yourself and having beautiful hair and a healthy scalp. When you look great you feel good.
Your look should coincide with the job you are looking to obtain. For instance, jobs in the financial industry usually require a more serious and conservative look.
Keeping Up Dyed Locks
It may sound cliché, but the truth is that you only have one opportunity to make a great first impression on your future employer. It’s important to look nice and neat because many times employers associate your appearance with your aptitude to perform the job. For instance, if you look messy they may perceive you to be disorganized in your work. That is why if you dye your hair it is important not to go to an interview with roots showing. The truth is that you have to look like you’re in control.
For more information on maintaining your hair color you can read previous posts were I have discussed hair maintenance on a tight budget.
Long Locks
Long hair should be neatly brushed without frizz and without hair clips in order to look clean and simple. You want to look professional. If your hair is long and curly and you love to show off your waves make sure to keep it neat and away from your face. You can control curls with Head & Shoulders line, Smooth& Silky shampoo and conditioner which is formulated with moisturizers to restore a silky smooth look to dry and frizzy hair, while leaving hair 100% flake free*.
It is also important to use an anti-frizz serum in order to keep curls activated. You can diffuse your curls with hot air from your blow dryer, but do not use the high setting. To complete your look add a touch of hairspray to those areas which tend to get messy quickly.
For those of you who want to straighten your hair go for it, but remember to start with a clean hair and scalp. Before blow drying be sure to add anti-frizz.
Medium & Short Hair
Usually medium and short hair lengths have very defined cuts. In preparation for your interview it’s important to keep your cut fresh, stylized and secure. Once again I remind you that you should begin any look with a clean hair and scalp prior to drying or styling your hair. This is the key to a beautiful look.
For the Men
In general, men should maintain a conservative look when on the job hunt. It’s important to keep your style clean and trim it monthly in order to look neat. If you have longer hair you can slick it back with gel. Don’t forget to wash your hair daily especially if you exercise or use styling products in your hair.
I hope these tips help you find your dream job.
Good luck and until next time friends, remember “Respect the Scalp. Love the Hair.”
