During the spring and summer month’s men usually resort to the extreme of shaving their hair in order to beat the heat. The reality is that this style only looks great on a few men. Here I will share with you the haircuts that are in this season so that the guys in your life can be trendy and be the “hotties” they really are. Best of all, these cuts don’t require a lot of maintenance and they are perfect for beating the heat.

Short & Messy: This style provides a modern look that is easy to create. To create an “I just got out of bed” look, stir the hair up with a bit of gel. Remember to remind the boys not to use too much styling product because just like female hair do’s, male styles should look natural with movement this spring/summer.

Slicked Back: This look is classic and one that has been used in Hollywood for decades by characters such as James Bond.  To begin determine if you have wavy hair or straight hair, the rest is easy. Men with straight hair should leave the top of the hair longer and those with wavy hair should cut the hair shorter. The sides should be short for both hair types.

If your beau has the right cut it won’t take him much effort to slick it back. Use gel to keep hair in place and obtain a wet look.

Remember, styling products can build up on the hair and scalp. Remind your boyfriends, fathers, brothers and friends that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp.
